Record Your Desktop Screen With YouTube | ScreenCast
It’s easy
to become overwhelmed with new questions if you give closer attention to
details. What is screen-cast..? Screen-cast is a digital method that involves recording your computer screen output and often involves audio
narration. Why would you need such a thing? If you’re the tech support family,
then it’s probably helping you to show people how to troubleshoot by screen-cast and for business it's a great way to, teach new employees how to use company
systems and in addition to show potential customers a product demo.
For
discrete people’s, a screen-cast can demonstrate an operation or task to relative
or friend for tech-challenged. Aunt Dazy needs help creating a PPT? Got it..!
Just create a quick screen-cast that shows her the steps.
Usually, installation
of special (May costly sometimes) software required for screen-cast, or at the
minimum browser plug-in may present. However, technology turns out there's a
little-known YouTube feature that helps you create screen-casts without any
software. Also I’ll tell you some screen-cast software’s too. Hope that it will
help you to create even better-quality screen-casts.
Step 1: Sign-in to your YouTube using Google Account
and click the Upload button it may appear at upper left corner. Under Live
Streaming chose event that has been located. The site may require verification
of your account using your phone number in case you’re new to YouTube.
Step 2: Now complete the upcoming
account-verification steps (required only in the case you do this first time)
by clicking Enable Live Streaming. It will take you back to the same page.
Step 3: Next, when you go right on the
create event page, give your screen-cast a name and modify settings for that
video. You can also set privacy either Private or Unlisted from privacy
pull-down menu. Finally, you can click Go Live Now. The new window will open for something called Hangouts
on Air.
Step 4: You’re now directed to
hangout on Air page, you can click on camera icon to turn off webcam recording.
You can turn off microphone as well if you want your screen-cast without
audio elements; keep that in mind that, before starting your recording you can
toggle one or both options.
Step 5: you’ll find screen share button at the left toolbox
in the Hangout on Air window, then choose desktop window you want to capture
for screen-cast (you can chose any window). Once you've made your choice,
click on Share (note: if you’re
using multiple windows only current program on the window can be recorded).
Step 6: Now, you
can click Start
broadcast. Now whatever you do within that window area will get
recorded. When done, click Stop
broadcast and go back to YouTube website.
Congo..! You’ve
done. Now head to your YouTube dashboard and you should see your newly recorded
video, ready for viewing (and sharing, if you're so inclined.) To check, go to
the YouTube dashboard and you should see the new screencast video that is newly
recorded. If you’re so inclined you can share this video or download a copy for
your own on Google Drive.
